Mostly just picture posts for the unforeseeable future. Blah but it'll have to do. Sorry, Texas.

GONE FISHING

We took the kids fishing...basically for their first time.  No boat or anything, just a work buddy's pond where you have to dig up your own worms and all.

It seemed very country and like we were living the Tennessee life. Lol...Whatever that means.  All we needed was a four wheeler or a Gator to drive around and it would have definitely made it a blast.

Cole caught the first fish but was ticked that Brooke's first fish was bigger than his.  Go girl!
A couple more fish for the boys.  Brooke was done after one and didn't want anything to do with those stanky things.  Agreed.
I finally gave in and tried to snag one of those bad boys.  I don't see the joy in having to wait and wait and wait...Just to catch a little fish and throw it back in.

It wasn't terrible and it was kinda cool to reel the fish in but, we all agreed we didn't really care to do that again.  It's yucky.

FRUSTRATING FRIDAY

So, for the most part it's been a fairly frustrating Friday.  No need to get into it but, it started off with a whiny, dramatic child being so ridiculous before school...Grrrr!

Music always calms me down and changes my mood...
And a little of Jackson's own Josh Miller can do just that.

You gotta listen...if only for the high notes he hits on the first song.  Such a baller.

Some of Josh's own original stuff that he's currently recording in Nashville.
Hope he makes it big!

RANDOM SILLIES

Nathan and the kids were sitting there so cute one Sunday afternoon in May...
And then all of a sudden Nathan got up and went to lay down...for HOURS.  He had forgotten to take his thyroid medicine that morning and just got hit with a bad case of the sleepies.
The kids and I decided to get a case of the sillies instead...

We cracked up while taking goofy pictures for absolutely NO reason at all.
Cole kept getting on to me for smiling though.  I couldn't help it.  I can only take so many bad pictures of myself...I don't want them to be used against me one day.
I did manage to get Cole to smile normal a couple of times.  Brooke, however, politely declined.
Sometimes you just gotta get those silly sillies out...
And it feels pretty darn good when you do.
LOVE MY BABIES!!!

 So glad it's Friday...
Definitely a reason to smile!

THE STUPID RESULT...

So the cost of replacing my rear window was a whopping $290!  OUCH!  That's a huge deal to me.  Makes me sick because it was completely unnecessary, wasted money that wouldn't have been spent if I hadn't forgotten my brain and shattered it. Some people may laugh at such a foolish move and say it's no big deal, but definitely not me.  I cried and felt so awful at the cost.  If somebody had sent me that gigantic winning lottery ticket already, I might have been laughing, too.  Maybe one of these days.
The window repair guy said he does about one of these types of senseless repairs a week.  Well, cool...At least I'm not the only idiot in town. :-)

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

Attention all home builders...Could you puhleeese start building garages just a little bit taller???  That way when some IDIOT backs out of the garage with the back door up, this mess doesn't happen...
Yep, that IDIOT is me.  What a lovely way to start off the day today.  I'm so mad at myself. I was in a hurry and just wasn't thinking.  Just plain stupid...And I can do stupid real well, y'all.
We came home from Cole's 3rd baseball game last night at nearly midnight and the battery to my garage door opener was suddenly dead.  So, when we were in a major rush to get to his game today, I figured I would back out and let Nathan push the button from the wall and just run to the car.  That was a perfectly good plan...I just completely forgot that I left the back open because he was inside filling the cooler up with ice.
Oh my, talk about the look of death I got when he heard the noise and first walked out.  I immediately started crying...while trying not to mess up my make up I had just slapped on minutes before.  Cole was already in the car and saw my face from the tears and kept saying, "It's ok, Mom."

Awww you hate to have your kids see you stressed out and in tears.  It was a complete accident but, it's still going to be an ordeal to fix.  And of course, Nathan had to leave out of town for the week soon after the game today.  Perfect timing.

Oh, and Cole got his lips busted open in between the 2nd and 3rd games yesterday.
Grrrr!!!  This was also an accident while warming up.  The ball just took a bad hop from a hefty kid that throws the ball hard like a man and BOOM...Right in the kisser!
And as I'm writing this Brooke keeps coming out of her room saying her stomach hurts and she thinks she needs to throw up.  Geez, I need a do over of this weekend.  Let's just hope the rest of the week goes smoothly while I'm single mommin' it!
