Mostly just picture posts for the unforeseeable future. Blah but it'll have to do. Sorry, Texas.

AUGUST 29th- FIGHT NIGHT

We haven’t really met anyone here to hang out with as a family, but Nathan has gotten to know a few guys at work pretty well. One of the guys there is actually into MMA (mixed martial arts) as much as we are. Don’t judge if you don’t know very much about the sport…Cause it’s awesome and we love it!

Anyway, turns out that Justin has a son and daughter that are very close in age to Cole and Brooke. He has come over to watch the UFC fights a couple of times before, but it just recently worked out to where he could bring his kids along. We sat by them at a baseball game back in July so they somewhat remembered each other. And oh my goodness, the kids were so excited that Jamison and Carrington were coming over, and they were actually going to get to play with kids at our house.

A massive clean up was underway...Even their rooms and the trampoline this time. Our dog keeps getting on the trampoline at night and leaving her annoying muddy paw prints all over it. I figured the kids would all want to jump so I forced our poor children to do some hard manual labor.

In the middle of cleaning up, Nathan and the kids decided to do their own little pre-show fight entertainment. Cole would do this all day long if we let him....Or I should say if we actually wanted to do so....Which we don't.

We all met for dinner at Chili's beforehand. Justin's very pregnant wife didn't come so the guys sat at one end laughing it up while I sat at the other end enjoying all the lovely kid chatter and bathroom breaks. Perfect...Just what I love to do the most on a Saturday night.

The girls are both equally shy and took a while to open up, but the boys were yapping right away bragging about what all they can do. It was nice for Cole and Brooke to finally make a connection with other kids outside of school. I think it made living here a little better for them...And that’s a definite plus in my book!
